Core I - moderate

This class is an excellent introduction to engaging the core in a safe environment for your body. It teaches the foundation of breath, alignment and inner/outer core.

Do you want to strengthen your core?  Do you want to improve your quality of  life or sport participation.  Do you suffer from or want to  prevent low back  pain?  Does your back get tired and ache?  Come and  learn safe core  strengthening 1x a week for 7 weeks by a physical therapist.

Dates and Times: Mondays from 1:10pm to 2:10pm taught by Denise Brochu

*one-hour classes of physical therapy treatment. Prepayment is required and physical therapy receipt is issued for dates attended. 7 people minimum required to run class, with a max of 12.

SPICY CORE/YOGA

This is a spicy class that is designed for people who have taken a course offered at Sunshine Physio or who have taken previous yoga classes. It offers an array of difficulties in order to provide the appropriate level, yet still provide a challenge for those who are fit. This class works on our core strength, flexibility, balance and agility. There is always a relaxation component and a bit of spice to keep one fresh and challenged.

Core/Yoga - moderate/difficult

This class is a more gentle yoga class where we do asanna's with lots of attention to alignment and technique. We move slowly through the poses to maximize the benefits of that pose. This is for people who want the challenge of yoga. It is geared for people who want to learn how to properly engage their core,  have arthritic joints or people new to yoga.

Stretch and strength the whole body including the core while  increasing your balance and core.  Care and attention will be placed on  alignment and modifications will be made for those with limitations or  injuries.  The class is designed for all levels of fitness from beginners to advanced, to those with injuries.  Come and experience peace, relaxation  and a healthier body today!

Roller Core Class

This is a challenging class for the core that uses rollers, theraband, and weights. This is a class filled with hard work and lots of fun.

This class involves a roller, theraband and weighted balls to make all the exercises more challenging and to gain greater core stability.  Celia hopes the classes will be fun and help people achieve their optimum core stability. Taught by Celia Gjosund.

Pelvic Floor - easy

The pelvic floor class is designed for women who leak when they laugh, cough, sneeze or play sports. It is also for the women who can not get to the washroom fast enough. It is a great class for women of all ages especially after the delivery of a baby or as you ease into menopause. Taught by Denise Brochu.
