denise brochuDenise Brochu B.Sc.PT, B.Sc.PE, M.C.P.A., Clinic Owner

Denise graduated from University of Saskatchewan with a combined degree in physical therapy ( 96) and physical education ( 97). Denise worked in Saskatoon and then Calgary at the renowned Lindsay Park / Talisman Centre were she treated recreational athletes to National athletes. There she worked with many Orthopedic Surgeons, Sports Medicine Doctors and dear mentors in physical therapy.

Denise has been involved in pursuing a level in excellence in Sport Physical Canada (SPC). SPC Credentials are the recognized standard of excellence in Canada. She has been working on her diploma level for many years and passed with perfect marks in 2010. The skills learned and taught are geared at supporting athletes in the entire continuum of sport. From the casual recreationalist to Olympic athlete, developing and refining ones abilities a to offer those the best. 

She has also taken post graduate classes in women's health to help teach women to learn how to properly activate their pelvic floor muscles so they do not have pain or leak when they laugh, cough, sneeze or are active in sports.

Denise has taken the renowned medical acupuncture course from Dr. Aung. She has found the use of acupuncture needles extremely effective in alleviating pain and has taken Intermuscular Stimulation from Dr. Gunn.

Denise is an active mom and plays soccer. She loves yoga and also she also teaches numerous core classes to get one back to participating in life and sports pain free.

izabella dzikowskiIzabella Dzikowski B.Sc.PT, M.C.P.A., Clinic Owner

Izabella graduated with distinction from the Physical Therapy program at University of Alberta in 1999. She has been professionally employed in the private practise setting ever since. In the subsequent years she has completed a number of postgraduate courses and certifications. She has always been inspired by the movement of joints and spinal segments and therefore proceeded with further education in Manual Therapy.

Izabella always likes to address a problem in a holistic manner, taking into a account body and spirit, which led her to pursue a certification in Medical  Acupuncture with the renowned Dr. Stephen Aung. Being challengde by variety of complicated chronic cases, she further broadened her skill set by completing GUNN IMS certification in 2003.

She enjoys treating acute as well as chronic conditions. While enjoying sports herself, she finds treating sport injuries one of her most rewarding challenges. She was a volunteer team of physiotherapists  and doctors attending to the athletes at the 2006 World Figure Skating Championships in Calgary as well as Canadian Championships in Gymnastics in 2008.

Izabella's ultimate goal is to make her clients feel better and reach their maximum potential. Her expertise allows her to provide treatment that is high in quality and effectiveness

Celia Gjosund

Celia loves all sports, she is a former field hockey, tennis and squash player and now is an avid golfer. She trained in England, and all her post-graduate work has been completed in Canada including; manual therapy, medical acupuncture, orthopedics, muscle energy and C. Gunn IMS.

Judy Kamelchuk

Judy Kamelchuk is a fully Certified Physiotherapist who completed her qualifying training at the University of Toronto in 1999.  Studying under the esteemed Dr. Steven Aung, she subsequently attained her Certificate in Medical Acupuncture at the University of Alberta in 2004.  Judy’s professional passion is grounded in helping patients recover from injury, seeing them return to activity, and assisting in optimizing individual function and performance.  She thoroughly enjoys working in the private practice setting as it offers opportunities not only to work with a dynamic patient-base but also to assess and treat a diversity of different types of injuries.   Judy remains actively committed to keeping her diagnostic and treatment skills current through relevant study of the literature, deliberate pursuit of continuing education, and engagement in collegial mentorship.

Jennifer Wright

Jennifer has enjoyed practicing Physiotherapy in the Calgary area for 20 years. She graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy (Great Distinction) in 1990. In 1999 she added ‘Certified Medical Acupuncturist’ to her credentials after completing the University of Alberta program. She is also a Part A Manipulative Therapist (Canadian Physiotherapy Assoc.)  The majority of her career was spent working at the internationally renowned University of Calgary Sports Medicine Centre. While there, Jennifer worked with Canada’s elite athletes as part of the National Sports Centre medical team and treated  a  large range of   musculoskeletal problems. (i.e. from sports injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic neck and back pain.) ‘Spines of Steel’ is a rehabilitation class she has taught for 15 years. Over the past 5 years, Jennifer has operated a physiotherapy practice in Bragg Creek. In January 2010 she  joined the team at Sunshine Physiotherapy. Sports and wilderness have always played a large roll in her life and currently her spare time is spent introducing her children to the pleasures of  an active life style.
